Your Starglass bottle is designed to last for years. Because it's made from premium borosilicate glass, it won't hold onto smells or stains like plastic or metal bottles. Here is our simple guide to keeping it looking and performing beautifully.
Daily Cleaning
For everyday use with water, a simple rinse with warm water and a drop of mild dish soap is all you need. Give it a quick shake, rinse thoroughly, and leave the cap off to air dry completely.
Do I need to remove the silicone sleeve?
No! In fact, we recommend leaving the sleeve on for daily washing. The sleeve is designed to fit snugly and is completely dishwasher safe.
Deep Cleaning
If you use your bottle for smoothies, juices, or tea, we recommend a deep clean once a week:
- The Bottle: Use the Starglass silicone bottle brush (included in our Ritual Gift Set) with warm soapy water to reach the bottom and sides.
- The Lid: The bamboo lid has a removable silicone O-ring. Carefully pop it out using a blunt edge (like a spoon handle), wash both the ring and the lid groove, let them dry completely, and replace.
Dishwasher Instructions
Your glass bottle and silicone sleeve are 100% dishwasher safe. Place them on the top rack. However, please hand-wash the bamboo lid. The natural bamboo can warp or crack if exposed to the extreme heat and prolonged moisture of a dishwasher cycle.
Removing the Sleeve (If Needed)
If you ever want to remove the sleeve for a deep clean between the glass and silicone, the easiest way is in the sink. Get the outside of the bottle warm and soapy, and the sleeve will slide right off. To put it back on, make sure both the glass and the inside of the sleeve are wet and soapy, slide it on, and rinse thoroughly.
